We take lunch around midday, 12 pm each day, and always leave a note on the door. Apologies if we miss you. To avoid missing each other, pop us a DM or email in advance if you plan to come around this time, and we’ll re-arrange.

WHAT IS CORRESPONDENCES?
correspondences is a place for creation and connection. We specialise in creative residencies, exhibitions, events & specialty retail and hospitality experiences. Our passion is connecting people from different disciplines, generations and cultural backgrounds to create lasting social connections through the medium of art. ONLINE STORE
Our online store is always open. We welcome online orders at any time. Please note that as we move towards opening our physical space in June, our store is changing. Please bear with us as we integrate and streamline things!
LOCATION
correspondences occupies the lower level of a two-storey property situated in the Monahan building (c.1906), located on Sydney Road Bulleke-bek (Brunswick) just after the intersection with Brunswick Road, in Naarm’s (Melbourne’s) north.
HOW TO GET HERE
Transport: Take the Upfield train to Jewell Station in Brunswick. We're a 4-minute walk from the station. Or, take the No.19 Tram (which starts from the corner of Elizabeth Street and Flinders Street in the city), which stops along Sydney Road.
PARKING
Parking: There is limited street parking in the surrounding streets or at the nearby Barkly Square shopping centre, located two minutes away at 90-106 Sydney Road.
ACCESS
Disability access: Unfortunately, we could not install an entry ramp into our facility due to building limitations. There is a 200mm step up into the front entrance of the front gallery space. There is no step-up if you enter via the rear laneway (parallel to Sydney Road). However, there are three steps down into the gallery (with support of a handrail) from the rear courtyard (rise measurements of the steps are 110 mm, 155 mm and 170 mm). We have a gender-neutral, ambulant toilet with a baby change table, which is wheelchair friendly but can only be accessed via the rear courtyard. The Wild Geese pub next door has a wheelchair-accessible bathroom. Please drop us an email at info@correspondences.work to discuss this further and arrange assistance prior to your visit. Designated quiet space: Our rear courtyard garden space is a lovely, quiet oasis.
SCHOOL/COMMUNITY GROUP VISITS
Schools and community groups are welcome to visit correspondences during regular hours. We are available to talk on the current exhibitions for free, to arrange please contact us 1-2 weeks prior to your intended visit via the email below.

NON-SMOKING
Non-smoking: We’re a no-smoking venue, inside and in our courtyard. Please respect our plants by not smoking and popping cigarette butts in their boxes.
PRESS/MEDIA INQUIRIES
